A lively and thoroughly informative panel discussion was held Thursday Oct. 27, 2011, 7 - 9 pm at Montgomery College’s Board of Trustees Conference Room. The panelists, Sara Watkins, Vice President, Board Room Bound and Robyn S. Kravit, CEO, Tethys Research and Board member of the Willis Group provided a wealth of information and perspectives to help our members. A poll of the audience (23 of us) revealed that many MW members serve on the boards of non-profits organizations, but very few serve on the boards of private corporations or publically listed companies.

See the full write up on our Resources page.

Left to right, Meredith Wellington, Chair, Montgomery Women; Robyn Kravit, CEO Tethys Research and Board Member, Willis Group; Sara Watkins, VP, Board Room Bound

What a terrific celebration for Montgomery Women's 10th Anniversary on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Thank you to Ike and Catherine Leggett for hosting such an extraordinary event. We had over 90 members in attendance including many of our founding members and two of our Montgomery College Scholarship recipients.

Our tenth anniversary is not our only landmark—we now have over 130 members—all dynamic, involved women—who are making a difference in Montgomery County. Join us!

-- Meredith
