Foreclosure: A Bump in the Road of Life This panel will describe the legal services and resources available to help homeowners negotiate loan modifications in order to avoid foreclosure and stay in their home. Financial Health Builds Wealth A question and answer presentation to provide information on available programs in accounting, as well as developing and working within a budget. Money Matters: Weaving Your Own Safety Net A panel discussion on how to develop a financial strategic plan and use it as a guide to financial security; topics will include creating a savings plan and developing a realistic budget. Navigating for Help Knowing who to call is half the battle. This panel discussion will answer the questions of what you need, who to call, and what to ask. The Legal Path of Domestic Violence This panel will be led by attorneys who advocates for victims of domestic violence in Maryland courts. The cycle of violence will be examined so that attendees can identify if they or someone they know may be a victim. Safety planning and the housing and other services available to victims will be reviewed. The various legal methods to address relief will be discussed including how to file and obtain an order of protection in Maryland.
