April 20, 2011 Luncheon

Communications: 21st Century Style

CREW Maryland Suburban has gathered together a dynamic panel to discuss the communication expectations in 2011. Learn how they have changed over the past ten years and how they have stayed the same. Social media plays a huge role in communication, but some people still communicate very effectively without it. Learn new styles of communication and plan for a refresher on the basic components of messaging. The bulk of the program is devoted to Q&A. CREW Maryland Suburban member Erica Leatham will moderate this interactive event.

Attention CREW Members & Friends…

In an effort to bring women together, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Maryland, Inc. has launched the Women Build 2011 program. This partnership gives women in the community the opportunity to help change the life of a low-income family by raising funds to rehabilitate a distressed home and turn it into one that is simple, decent, and affordable. This winter, women from the Montgomery County community began fundraising for the rehabilitation of a vacant, distressed home. CREW Maryland Suburban will be joining this fundraising initiative. It is our goal to raise $1000 in the next several months for the Women Build 2011 program. We then plan to participate in a build-day at the site of the home being rehabilitated.

We will begin collecting donations towards our goal of raising $1000 at our April 20 luncheon and will continue collecting at future events until we have reached our goal. Please consider donating to this initiative! If you have any questions, please contact Heather Dlhopolsky at 301-961-5270 or hdlhopolsky@linowes-law.com.
